BabyRobot partner receives a Paper Award at the RO-MAN 2018 Conference

BabyRobot partner ICCS received a paper award (Nanjing City Prize) at the 27th IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN’2018), for the late-breaking research paper: “A framework for robot learning during child-robot interaction with human engagement as reward signal,” Authors: M. Khamassi, G. Chalvatzaki, T. Tsitsimis, G. Velentzas and C. Tzafestas

This paper relates to on-going research, conducted in the frames of the BabyRobot project, which aims at exploring the application of new adaptive reinforcement robot learning schemes in scenarios that involve social interaction of robots with children facing autism-spectrum disorder (ASD) conditions.
