The BabyRobot project and demos were presented and discussed with middle school students visiting the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) by both the ICCS and the Athena RC teams.
BabyRobot was presented by partner Athena RC in the occasion of “Athens Science Festival”, held in Technopolis, Gkazi, Athens, Greece during 30/03/2017 and 01/04/2017. In this event children had the opportunity to take part in an interactive demo where the BabyRobot Project was presented.
Blue Ocean Robotics, as partner of the BabyRobot Consortium, organizes a workshop on “The contemporary Societal Applications of Social Robots and the Barriers to the Market” at the European Robotics Forum 2017 (22-24 March 2017 Edinburgh, UK) together with Softbank (formerly Aldebaran Robotics). Through the multidisciplinary expertise of the participants and speakers, this workshop aim to provide a forum for creating a common ground and understanding of Social Robots Applications and Barriers.
The first year review meeting will take place on 2 March 2017 in Athens, Greece.

The BabyRobot literature was disseminated University of Hertfordshire at the London Science museum exhibiting the Kaspar robot. Kaspar was at the Science Museum in London for 8 months from 8 February 2017 as part of the museum’s new Robots exhibition.
The ICCS team wins the 3rd place (among 24 groups in) the tweeter sentiment analysis task 4-B (topic) SemEval 2017 competition using semantic-affective model adaptation techniques. More details about the competition are available here.
